1. NEURALINK Neuralink Corporation is a neurotechnology company developing implantable brain-machine interfaces (BMIs). Co-founded by Elon Musk, Max Hodak and Paul Merolla, the company is headquartered in the Pioneer Building in San Francisco and shares offices with OpenAI. Neuralink launched in 2016 and was first publicly announced in March 2017. Since its inception, the company has hired several top neuroscientists from various universities. By July 2019, it had received $158 million in funding (including $100 million from Musk) and employed 90 employees.
